Our district is at a troubling crossroads. For decades, new homes have been built for rich speculators, not kamaaina. Residents now work multiple jobs just to pay the rent in microunits and for most, a home purchase is entirely out of reach. Without adequate safety nets in place, homelessness has also continued to grow. Deprived of city enforcement, illegal vacation rentals, monster homes, and other nuisances have invaded our neighborhoods. Finally, corruption has destroyed public trust and undermined the effectiveness of city government.
We deserve a Councilmember who has the courage to put people first and the proven experience to create real solutions. Not just talk about it. That's the public servant I have been and the Councilmember I intend to be. If we want change, we have to vote for it.
I humbly ask for your vote in the Primary Election.
